More good reasons to register with the Aboriginal Business Directory (WA)

The Aboriginal Business Directory Working Party are pleased to advise that the Department of Local Government and Communities have made amendments to their procurement regulations to allow local councils to contract directly with businesses registered on the Aboriginal Business Directory (ABDWA) for contracts of up to $250,000, without having to go to tender.

The amendment to regulation 11(h) of the Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations 1996 brings the provisions into line with the State Government Supply Policy.  Full details of the changes are available at www.slp.wa.gov.au

If you have not reviewed your listing recently then now is a good time to ensure your details are correct.  Any changes you need to make to your registration can be made by following the prompts on the “register my business” page of the website.
